Family VBS!

Dear St. Rita Families:
Are you ready for a fantastically fun week with your family? AWESOME, because the Office of Children’s Faith Formation will be hosting the Vacation Bible School (VBS) beginning Sunday, July 8 – Thursday, July 12. As kids explore the wonders of the sky, they will discover that No Matter What – Trust God!
Here are the details:
- Dates: Sunday, July 8 - Thursday, July 12.
- Times: 6:30PM-8:30PM in the evening in Sweeney Center.
- Who Should Attend VBS: 3 Yrs Old - 5th Grade (children who have finished 4th grade).
- Theme: "SKY VBS – Everything is Possible with God!" Five essential Bible verses – including Mark 10:27-help them understand who Jesus is and why they need Him. Every activity is designed so kids hear, see, sing, touch, and even taste God’s Word! Kids apply what they have learned as they serve others and watch for God in everyday life.
Really fun stuff:
- FAMILY VBS - That’s right, moms, dads and all the kids - the family comes to VBS as a unit and travels from center to center as a unit with several other families. Centers include: Games, Art, Snacks, Lessons and Music. Working parents get to come to VBS and play with their children!
- To top it all off, the last night will be a supper party with Build Your Own Ice Cream Sundaes.
- We will gather together in church at the beginning of Holy Hour for the priest to speak to us about our week!
One last tidbit of information:
- Babysitting - provided for parents who are VBS volunteers.
The VBS Planning Committee is very excited about all these new ideas and anxious to share them with you. Please, plan to attend SKY VBS and we could use your help. Consider volunteering, there is no job too small so if you only have an hour or so to help with decorations of something else we would love to have you on the team. Of course, if you are feeling generous and you can spare more time, we will take that as well.
At SKY Family VBS, kids learn that there is only one truth: Jesus!
